Fishing Report from TPWD (Mar. 5)

SLOW. Water normal stain; 58 degrees; 0.05 feet above pool. Catfish are good using cut bait in shallow water. Striped bass bite is good while deadsticking with flukes, or live bait in 30 feet of water. Crappie are beginning to move up the rivers in shallow water in preparation for spawn. White bass are fair on slabs in 20-30 feet of water. Largemouth bass are fair using soft plastics on deep structure. Report by Captain Cory Vinson, Guaranteed Guide Service.
